Sunday reading: a Canada Day spectacular

It’s Canada Day, one of our best days in my home and native land. Wherever you are, be sure to wear some red and white, pour a beer, and think about coming to visit us in the Great White North, where we are currently experiencing one of the best summers ever, weather-wise. Happy Canada Day!

Manitoba: Take a walking tour in Winnipeg’s Exchange District, and learn more about the ‘Peg’s dark side (Exchange District)

Newfoundland & Labrador: Take a brewery tour at Quidi Vidi Brewery, just outside of St. John’s. Drink some great beer and prove you can pronounce it. @QVBeer

Northwest Territories: From July 19 to 22, don’t miss the Folk on the Rocks music festival in Yellowknife, NWT

Nova Scotia: Go tidal bore rafting on the Bay of Fundy, the only place in the world you can do it! (Tidal Bore Rafting Park)

Nunavut: Go with the (ice) floe and watch the icebergs at the edge of the world in Nunavut, Canada’s newest territory. (Nunavut Tourism)

Ontario: Visit the Canadian War Museum and spend a night in jail at Ottawa’s Jail Hostel
